Blankenfelde
Blankenfelde is a locality (Ortsteil) located within the Berlin borough (Bezirk) of Pankow. Of the city's 95 localities, it is the least densely populated.
Blankenfelde was founded around 1375 and was integrated into Berlin in 1920 via the "Greater Berlin Act". After World War II, it was part of East Berlin from 1949 to 1990. From 1961 to 1989, its western borders were part of the Berlin Wall.

Various Germanic tribes have inhabited the northern parts of modern Germany since classical antiquity. A region named Germania was documented before AD 100.
