Herdman Rocks (Herdman Rocks)
The Herdman Rocks (-60.7°N, -44.33333°W) are two rocks, 15 m high, lying 1.5 nmi southeast of Hart Rock and 3 nmi northeast of Cape Dundas, Laurie Island, in the South Orkney Islands. They were first charted in 1838 by a French expedition under Captain Jules Dumont d'Urville. They were recharted in 1933 by Discovery Investigations and named after Henry F.P. Herdman, for whom Cape Herdman was also named.

Antarctica is Earth's southernmost and least-populated continent. Situated almost entirely south of the Antarctic Circle and surrounded by the Southern Ocean (also known as the Antarctic Ocean), it contains the geographic South Pole. Native species of animals include mites, nematodes, penguins, seals and tardigrades. Where vegetation occurs, it is mostly in the form of lichen or moss.
